Extra virgin olive oil tasting is an experience dedicated to one of the most authentic traditions of Puglia: bread, olive oil and the story of the land from which it comes. At Materia Ostuni, the experience can be arranged at the villa, in the social kitchen or outdoor spaces, or at selected local olive mills.
The experience has a natural connection with the more than 50 olive trees growing throughout the estate’s Mediterranean garden. Materia Ostuni’s own extra virgin olive oil also comes from this agricultural landscape, expressing the close relationship between hospitality, the land and its raw ingredients.
Through a tasting of Puglian olive oils, accompanied by bread and small traditional products, guests can discover their aromas, characteristics and production methods, while gaining a deeper understanding of the connection between the Itria Valley and its olive oil culture.
